Know Our History

Our reputation is built on a foundation of quality, service and professionalism. Our vision is to become the East Kootenay’s most capable, reliable and respected fine home building company.

Our President, David Hozjan, started his career building timber homes and custom homes in Whistler, BC. David’s leadership and industry experience are the foundation of Elk River Mountain Homes. David’s qualifications include construction management, construction engineering technology and journeyman carpentry. To back his field experience, he is currently engaged in Master Builder studies. Twenty-five years of unique and complex projects, complemented by a well-rounded education, make David a leader in his field.

David and key staff regularly attend conferences, courses, expos and workshops held by industry-leading associations and regulating bodies. Driven to build homes of the highest quality using the latest materials, techniques and standards, we know the vital importance of remaining current within the field.
